THE OUTCOME OF ENGAGEMENT WITH THE SPIRIT.

The Outcome of Engagement with the Spirit: Accessing the Depth of Light and Revelation

Introduction:The Outcome of Engagement with the Spirit

As believers, we have been given access to the Holy Spirit who serves as our guide and helper. In John 16:13, Jesus promised that the Spirit of Truth would guide us into all truth and reveal things to come. It is, therefore, essential that we engage with the Holy Spirit, not only in prayer and studying the Word but also in every area of our lives.

In this blog post, we will explore the outcome of engaging with the Spirit of God and how it connects us with the glory of God. We will also discuss how we can access the depth of light and revelation through the Holy Spirit and the benefits of doing so.

The Holy Spirit and the Explosion of God’s Glory

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and the Spirit of God. He is our guide and helper who helps us to live a life that is pleasing to God. Engaging with the Holy Spirit is essential for believers to experience the glory of God in their lives. The Bible tells us that the glory of God is the manifestation of His presence, power, and goodness. When we engage with the Holy Spirit, we gain access to the glory of God.

One of the essential outcomes of engaging with the Holy Spirit is the depth of light and revelation. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and will guide us into all truth. He will also reveal things to come, helping us to make the right decisions and choices in life. The depth of light and revelation that we gain through the Holy Spirit connects us with the glory of God.

Accessing the Depth of Light and Revelation

Accessing the depth of light and revelation through the Holy Spirit is a process that requires intentional engagement with Him. We can engage with the Holy Spirit through prayer, worship, and studying the Word of God. When we engage with the Holy Spirit, He imparts wisdom and understanding that enables us to understand the scriptures better. He also gives us insight into our lives, revealing things that we need to change or improve.

One of the ways to access the depth of light and revelation through the Holy Spirit is by praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit involves praying in tongues, which is a language that only the Holy Spirit can interpret. When we pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit prays through us, giving us access to the depth of light and revelation.

Another way to access the depth of light and revelation is through worship. Worship is a powerful way to engage with the Holy Spirit, and it creates an atmosphere that enables us to hear from Him. When we worship, the Holy Spirit gives us insight into His nature and character, helping us to understand Him better.

Furthermore, following the leading of the Holy Spirit is another way to access the depth of light and revelation. The Holy Spirit leads us in all areas of our lives, and when we follow His leading, we gain access to the depth of light and revelation that we need to live a successful and fulfilling life.

Benefits of Accessing the Depth of Light and Revelation

Accessing the depth of light and revelation through the Holy Spirit has many benefits for believers. Some of these benefits include:

  • Divine Direction: When we access the depth of light and revelation, we gain divine direction for our lives. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth and reveals things to come, helping us to make the right decisions and choices in life.

  • Spiritual Growth: Accessing the depth of light and revelation through the Holy Spirit leads to spiritual growth. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand the Word of God better, which helps us to grow in our faith.
  • Manifestation of God’s Power: When we access the depth of light and revelation, we experience the manifestation of God’s power
  • Another outcome of engaging with the Spirit is the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts to believers for the edification of the body of Christ. These gifts include but are not limited to wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, and speaking in tongues. When we engage with the Spirit, we position ourselves to receive and operate in these gifts.Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”
  • Engaging with the Spirit not only enables us to receive and operate in these gifts, but it also helps us to discern when these gifts are being used by others. The Holy Spirit gives us discernment to identify false prophets and false teachings. In 1 John 4:1, the apostle John warns us, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
  • When we engage with the Spirit, we also experience transformation in our lives. The Holy Spirit helps us to become more like Christ, as Paul explains in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” As we spend time in the presence of God and engage with the Spirit, we are transformed into the likeness of Christ, and the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance) becomes more evident in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).
  • Furthermore, engaging with the Spirit empowers us to fulfill the Great Commission. Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). But He also promised them that they would receive power to do so when the Holy Spirit came upon them (Acts 1:8). The same power is available to us today as we engage with the Spirit. We are able to witness boldly and effectively, and we are able to demonstrate the love and power of God to a lost and hurting world.

Conclusion: The Outcome of Engagement with the Spirit

In conclusion, engaging with the Spirit is vital to the life and destiny of a believer. It gives us access to the depths of light and revelation, enables us to operate in the gifts of the Spirit, transforms us into the likeness of Christ, and empowers us to fulfill the Great Commission. As we engage with the Spirit, we position ourselves to experience the explosion of the glory of God in our lives. So let us make it a daily habit to engage with the Spirit through prayer, worship, study of the Word, and obedience to His leading, and let us watch as He works mightily in and through us for His glory.
